South Wilts Archery Club is based in Salisbury and covers South Wiltshire and the surrounding area. It is one of the oldest clubs in the country having been founded in
1859 and offers target, field, clout and wand archery. We have approximately 200 members shooting a range of bow styles from the high-tech Compound to the traditional English Longbow.

South Wilts Archery Club (SWAC) was formed in 1859 and is based in and around Salisbury, Wiltshire. The club caters for multiple forms of archery, with year-round facilities available for outdoor target, field, clout and wand archery, and an indoor target facility available in the winter months.
SWAC currently has approximately 200 members, shooting a wide range of bow styles including recurve, compound, barebow, longbow and flatbow. The club takes an active role in competitions, with many members attending NFAS Field Archery and GNAS Target Archery shoots in the local area and further afield. SWAC also host 8 Open Shoots across a range of archery disciplines, throughout the year, which are attended by archers from all over the country.
If you're interested in taking up archery, SWAC run a number of beginner's courses throughout the year. These courses are demand led, so contact us to find out about availability. The club also run Have-a-Go events at local fayres and fetes throughout the summer, where you can have a archery taster session with one of our coaches.
