Bluebell Shoot 2009

As usual we had changed the course the opposite way of shooting to last year.  The bluebells were in perfect bloom and covered the floor of our woods and arrows disappeared under the greenery.  When the bluebells die back our patrons' arrows will be laying on the ground to be collected.  185 archers shot and enjoyed the very good course laid for them.

Thanks to all members of South Wilts who made the day a success.  Our hard work meant that the May shoot was fully booked six weeks prior.  The 150th Anniversary shoot in July where we decided to accept 200 archers, we had only 20 places left 2 1/2 months before the date of the shoot.  So book early, these days it seems to be the only way to get into a shoot.  Could it be that we need more clubs to put on shoots here in the South of England.
